The Al-Qaeda Analogy: Netanyahu Exposes the Two-State Solution’s Fatal Flaw

Palestine in Jerusalem Vs The Al-Qaeda Analogy
Continuing with the analysis of Prime Minister Netanyahu’s September 26, 2025 address to the United Nations General Assembly, this article examines the Al-Qaeda analogy that framed his rejection of a Palestinian state after October 7. Israeli Prime Minister’s statement was so devastating, that it cut through decades of diplomatic double-speak in a single sentence:
“Giving the Palestinians a state one mile from Jerusalem after October 7th is like giving Al-Qaeda a state one mile from New York City after September 11th. This is sheer madness.”
The silence that followed was deafening.
Not because the analogy was flawed. But because it was unanswerable.
No Western leader—not Anthony Albanese, not Emmanuel Macron, not Keir Starmer, not Justin Trudeau—could coherently explain why the principle that applied to Al-Qaeda after 9/11 should not apply to Hamas after October 7. The analogy exposed the fatal flaw at the heart of the two-state solution: you cannot reward genocidal terrorism with statehood and expect peace.
Yet just weeks before Netanyahu’s speech, France, Britain, Australia, and Canada voted at the United Nations General Assembly in favor of resolutions treating Palestinian statehood as an accomplished political fact, in the immediate aftermath of the worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust.
As we documented in Two-State Delusion Exposed: Netanyahu’s 99-9 Vote That Shattered International Consensus, this wasn’t diplomacy. This was civilizational capitulation dressed up as “peace-making.”

October 7th Vindication
The Test the West Cannot Pass
Netanyahu didn’t just make an argument. He issued a challenge:
“Just imagine an attack against America proportionate to the attack against Israel on October 7th. Imagine a regime dispatching thousands of terrorists to invade the United States. They massacre 40,000 Americans. They take 10,000 Americans hostage. What do you think America would do?”
Let’s be brutally honest about what America would do:
The entity responsible would cease to exist.
Not through negotiations. Not through “confidence-building measures.” Not through a “roadmap to peace.”
Through overwhelming military force until unconditional surrender.
Would America then establish the attackers as a recognized state on its border? Would it provide them with international legitimacy, territory, and sovereignty?
The question answers itself.
Yet this is exactly what 144 nations—including America’s closest allies—demanded of Israel just days after Hamas’s October 7th massacre.
What Happened When They Actually Got a State
Netanyahu reminded that a state was created in 1948 that everyone forgot:
In 1948, the international community approved partition, offering an Arab state alongside Israel. The states surrounding Israel attempted to eliminate the state of Israel that forced Israel to capture territories designated as parts of Palestine state.
He further reminded the UN of an inconvenient truth Western diplomats desperately want to forget:
“They effectively had a Palestinian state—in Gaza. What did they do with that state? Peace? Co-existence? No, they attacked us time and time again, totally unprovoked.”
Let’s examine this “experiment” in Palestinian statehood:
2005: Israel withdraws completely from Gaza. Every soldier. Every settler. Every synagogue demolished. Gaza is handed to Palestinian control—functionally, they had their state.
What followed?
- 1949–1967: Gaza is controlled by Egypt. No Palestinian state is created. The territory is used for attacks on Israel.
- 1967: The Six-Day War, forced upon Israel, results in Israeli control of Gaza.
- 1993–2005: Palestinian self-rule under the Oslo framework results in sustained attacks on Israeli civilians.
- 2005: Israel withdraws completely from Gaza.
- 2006: Hamas wins elections
- 2007: Hamas violently purges Fatah, establishing total control
- 2008-2024: Sixteen years of rocket attacks on Israeli civilians
- Infrastructure: Not hospitals and schools, but 350 miles of terror tunnels—longer than the New York subway system
- October 7, 2023: The worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust
This wasn’t a failure of “the peace process.” This was the inevitable result of giving territorial concessions to an eliminationist ideology.
As we documented in October 7th Vindication: Egypt’s Prophetic Wall, Egypt understood this reality. That’s why they built a massive steel wall to keep Palestinians out—even though Egypt shares language, religion, and Arab identity with Palestinians.
Egypt knows what the West refuses to admit: Palestinian nationalism isn’t about achieving statehood. It’s about eliminating Jewish statehood.

The Berlin Wall of Gaza
The Persistent Rejection: A Century of Saying No
Netanyahu exposed the pattern that Western media systematically buries:
“Every time they were offered a Palestinian state but were required to end the conflict with Israel and recognize the Jewish state, every time over the decades, they turned it down.”
Let’s count the rejections:
1937: Peel Commission—Partition plan. Arabs rejected.
1947: UN Partition Plan—Two states. Arabs rejected, launched war.
1967: Khartoum Conference—Israel offers land for peace. Arabs respond: “No peace, no recognition, no negotiation.”
2000: Camp David—Ehud Barak offers 97% of West Bank, East Jerusalem capital. Arafat rejected, launched Second Intifada.
2008: Ehud Olmert offers even more generous terms. Abbas walked away.
2020: Trump Peace Plan—Palestinian state with capital in East Jerusalem. Rejected before even reading it.
Seven decades. Multiple offers. Different Israeli governments—left, right, center.
The result? Universal rejection.
Why?
Because accepting a Jewish state in any boundary contradicts Islamic doctrine itself, as articulated in Qur’an 2:120, 5:44, and 8:39, Palestinian nationalism adopts this premise as its core claim: that Israel’s existence itself is the injustice—a view shared and reinforced across Muslim-majority states.
This connects directly to what we documented in The Genocide Inversion: How Hamas Weaponized Civilian Casualties—the strategy isn’t to build a Palestinian state. It’s to delegitimize Israel’s right to exist by framing Jewish self-defense as genocide.

Black September: Jordan
The 90% That Destroys the “Moderate Palestinian” Myth
Here’s the statistic that shatters every Western assumption about Palestinian society:
“Nearly 90% of Palestinians supported the October 7th attack.”
Not in Gaza alone. In both Gaza and the West Bank.
Not “didn’t condemn.” Not “remained silent.”
Actively supported.
They danced on rooftops. They distributed candy. They celebrated the rape of Jewish women, the burning of babies alive, the kidnapping of Holocaust survivors.
Just as they celebrated 9/11.
Just as they celebrated every bus bombing, every restaurant explosion, every murdered Israeli child for the past century.
This isn’t a “radical fringe.” This isn’t “extremists who don’t represent the people.”
This is the society Western nations want to establish as a sovereign state “one mile from Jerusalem.”
Would America establish Al-Qaeda as a state if 90% of their population celebrated 9/11?
Would Britain establish ISIS as a recognized nation if 90% cheered the Manchester bombing?
The question is absurd.
Yet when it comes to Israel, this absurdity becomes “international consensus.”

57 Muslim Nations, One Silence
Why the Analogy Works: Eliminationist Ideology
The brilliance of Netanyahu’s Al-Qaeda analogy isn’t just the proportionality of the attacks. It’s the ideological parallel.
Al-Qaeda’s ideology:
- Rejects Western civilization’s right to exist
- Views compromise as temporary tactical retreat
- Celebrates martyrdom and civilian casualties
- Cannot coexist with “infidel” sovereignty
Hamas’s ideology (per their charter):
- Rejects Jewish state’s right to exist in any boundary
- Views Oslo Accords as tactical hudna (temporary truce before final conquest)
- Celebrates shahada (martyrdom) and deliberate civilian targeting
- Cannot accept permanent Jewish sovereignty on “Islamic waqf land”
This, coupled with what critics describe as the instrumental use of taqiya as a tactical concealment strategy, makes such movements especially difficult for Western political classes to assess and contain.
Both are eliminationist ideologies—they don’t seek territory, they seek the elimination of their enemy’s existence.
You don’t negotiate permanent peace with eliminationist ideologies.
You defeat them.
This is why the two-state solution isn’t just naive—it’s civilizationally suicidal.
The Uncomfortable Truth About Territory
Netanyahu issued another unanswerable challenge:
“Every time they were given territory—they used it to attack us.”
1994: Oslo Accords give Palestinian Authority control of major West Bank cities.
Result: Suicide bombing campaign kills hundreds of Israeli civilians.
2000: Israel offers to withdraw from 97% of West Bank.
Result: Second Intifada—1,000+ Israelis murdered.
2005: Complete withdrawal from Gaza.
Result: 16 years of rocket attacks, culminating in October 7th.
The pattern is perfect.
Every territorial concession produces more violence, not less.
Why?
Because Palestinian leadership views concessions not as steps toward peace, but as proof that violence works. At face value, critics attribute this to Islamic doctrinal frameworks, as outlined above.
As we documented in my analysis of The Great Deception, the entire “land for peace” formula is based on a fundamental category error: assuming both sides want the same outcome (two states living in peace) but merely disagree on details.
In reality:
- Israel wants two states living in peace
- Palestinian leadership wants one state: Palestine, from river to sea
These are incompatible objectives. No amount of territorial compromise bridges this gap.
What Would America Actually Do?
Let’s take Netanyahu’s thought experiment seriously.
October 7th, proportional to America’s population:
- 40,000 Americans murdered
- 10,000 Americans taken hostage
- Committed by an entity that America had previously given territorial autonomy
- Celebrated by 90% of that entity’s population
- Part of a century-long pattern of rejecting American existence
What would America do?
- Immediate declaration of war—not “police action,” not “limited operation,” but total war
- Complete destruction of the attacking regime—unconditional surrender or annihilation
- Occupation and de-radicalization—like post-WWII Germany and Japan
- Zero tolerance for external interference—any nation that demanded “proportionality” or “restraint” would be told to mind their own business
- Absolute rejection of rewarding terrorism—establishing the attackers as a sovereign state would be considered treason
Yet when Israel does even a fraction of this after October 7th, it faces:
- ICC arrest warrants
- UN condemnations
- Arms embargoes
- Campus protests
- Media accusations of “genocide”
And the ultimate insult: demands to establish the attackers as a sovereign state.
The “Mark of Shame”
Netanyahu didn’t mince words about Western nations recognizing Palestine after October 7th:
“The decision by the leaders of France, Britain, Australia, Canada and other countries to recognize a Palestinian State was a mark of shame that rewarded the most savage terrorists on earth.”
A mark of shame.
Not a “policy disagreement.” Not a “different approach to peace.”
Moral complicity in rewarding genocidal terrorism.
Because that’s exactly what it is.
When you recognize statehood for an entity:
- 96% of whose population supports the October 7th massacre
- Whose governing charter calls for Israel’s destruction
- Who used previous territorial concessions to build terror infrastructure
- Who rejected every previous peace offer requiring recognition of Israel
You’re not “advancing peace.”
You’re incentivizing the next October 7th.
The attack on Jews celebrating Hanukkah at Bondi Beach, Australia, on 14 December 2025 illustrates the consequences of this shame.
You’re telling every terrorist organization on Earth: Massacre enough Jews, and the international community will reward you with statehood.
The Test of Moral Clarity
The Al-Qaeda analogy is a litmus test for moral clarity.
If you can explain why America should never establish Al-Qaeda as a state after 9/11, but cannot explain why Israel should establish Hamas after October 7th, you have failed the test.
The only honest answers are:
Option 1: “Israel should do exactly what America would do—eliminate the threat completely, regardless of international pressure.”
Option 2: “There’s a double standard. We expect Israel to accept risks we would never accept ourselves.”
Most Western leaders choose Option 3: Evasion. Platitudes about “two-state solution” and “cycle of violence” and “both sides” that avoid confronting the central question.
Food for Thought: Is it the time that India takes a stand against the terror state in her neighborhood like America against Al-Qaida or Israel action against Hamas?
But Netanyahu forced the question into the open.
And the silence from Western capitals was damning.
Why This Matters: The Broader Pattern
The two-state delusion isn’t just about Israel-Palestine.
It’s a template for how Western elites respond to Islamic eliminationist ideology everywhere:
- Pretend the ideology is really about legitimate grievances
- Assume territorial concessions will satisfy demands
- Ignore explicit eliminationist rhetoric and behavior
- Demand the target (Israel, India, the West) make concessions
- Blame the target when concessions produce more violence
This pattern appears across multiple conflicts:
Kashmir: Pakistan wants Hindu-majority India to cede Muslim-majority Kashmir, despite:
- Ethnic cleansing of 400,000+ Kashmiri Pandits
- Decades of terrorism
- Pakistani rejection of every status quo proposal
- Explicit goal of making Kashmir part of Islamic Pakistan
Europe: Western governments pressured to accommodate:
- Sharia courts
- No-go zones
- Blasphemy restrictions
- Despite rising antisemitism and terrorism
The West’s approach to Palestinian statehood is the prototype for this civilizational surrender.
If the West cannot maintain moral clarity about October 7th, it cannot maintain moral clarity about anything.
The Fatal Flaw Exposed
Netanyahu’s Al-Qaeda analogy exposes the fatal flaw in the two-state solution:
You cannot make peace with an ideology that rejects your right to exist.
Not through territorial concessions.
Not through economic incentives.
Not through international guarantees.
Not ever.
Because the conflict isn’t about borders. It’s about existence.
Hamas doesn’t want a Palestinian state alongside Israel.
Hamas wants a Palestinian state instead of Israel.
This is why every territorial concession produces more violence.
This is why 90% of Palestinians supported October 7th.
This is why Egypt built an 18 meter underground wall.
This is why 57 Muslim nations refuse Palestinian refugees.
They all know what the West refuses to admit: Palestinian nationalism, as currently constituted, is an eliminationist movement, not a national liberation movement.
And you don’t reward eliminationist movements with statehood.
You defeat them.

Two-State Delusion Exposed
Conclusion: The Choice the West Must Make
Netanyahu’s Al-Qaeda analogy forces an uncomfortable choice:
Either: 1. Admit the two-state solution rewards terrorism and is civilizationally suicidal
Or: 2. Explain why different rules apply to Jewish victims than to Western victims
There is no third option.
The West chose evasion in 2025, just as it has for decades.
But October 7th changed the equation.
Israel’s 99-9 Knesset vote—representing over 90% of Israeli parliamentarians—declared: We will not commit national suicide to make you comfortable.
As we documented in Two-State Delusion Exposed, this wasn’t extremism. This was democratic self-preservation against an international consensus demanding Israel’s gradual elimination.
The Al-Qaeda analogy crystallizes why.
Would you give Al-Qaeda a state after 9/11?
If your answer is no, you understand why the two-state solution is dead.
If your answer is yes, you’ve failed the most basic test of civilizational survival.
And if you demand Israel do what you would never accept for yourself, you’ve revealed the double standard that has animated this conflict from the beginning:
Jewish lives matter less than maintaining comfortable delusions.
Netanyahu’s speech shattered those delusions.
The question now is whether the West has the moral courage to face reality—or whether it will continue demanding Israel commit suicide while calling it “peace.”
